YOU must be CROAKING if you think this competitive frog is going to share his branch with a rival Kermit. Comical snaps show a tree frog enjoying a solitary gymnastic work out, but his peace was soon disturbed by another exercise fanatic who tried to get in on the action. Because the first Kermit could not share the apparatus a bit of froggy wrestling kicked off. From chin ups to funky yoga moves these frogs show their range of movement and flexibility on their makeshift chin-up bar. The snapper who took the side-splitting pictures, Jakarta-based creative design professional Kurit Afsheen, 34, began photographing wildlife as a hobby only three-years ago.

DIVING up to 70-miles per hour to catch its dinner this kingfisher is a high-speed hunter at its most magnificent. Pictures show how the skilful bird launches itself into a nosedive before smashing itself into the riverwater below – and emerging victorious with a hapless fish in its beak. Scientist Fabio Pittarello (54) took the eye-opening shots while visiting the River Brenta, near Venice, Italy.

An Indian rock python swallows a goat near the Sonakhali reserve forest in Jalpaiguri, India. A MASSIVE python devours a full size goat after sneaking into the village of Garkhuta in West Bengal, India. The astonishing feat of digestion was caught on camera near Sonakhali Reserve Forest by photographer Roni Choudhury. The giant snake, estimated to be up to 10ft long, can be seen steadily stretching its mouth around the goat's lifeless body.

The 'PaperBridge' is a temporary piece of artwork located over a small beck at the top of the Grisedale Valley, near Patterdale under the shadow of Helvellyn, Cumbria.
